Four Moons Internet Cafe- Slam Poetry Night

Slam Poetry Night
Slam Night- Poetry at the Wine & Gourmet Internet Café- Every 1st and 2nd Sat. at 6pm. Show off your skills and get a chance to win a prize!

Guidelines
    * Sign-up begins the week prior to the reading night.
    * Walk-in contestants can register by 6pm on Slam Night.
    * Each performer needs should have at least 3 poems.  
    * The performer with the total highest score wins a fabulous prize from the Café!
    * Non-contestants are welcome to recite their poetry

Poetry Slam Rules & Regs
1. Sign ups sheets will be available at the cafe anytime to reserve a spot. You can call or come into the store to sign up.

2. Respect your fellow performers. Please avoid disrupting others during their presentations. This includes loud talking, distracting, or anything else that would detract from their performance.

3. The manager of the evening is in charge of Slam Night. If special rules or adjustments need to be made, this person is in complete control.

4. Cheer for your fellow artists. You may not like what they just did, but support them anyway!

5. Have a great time and bring friends. Four Moons goal is to foster the community and an environment of hospitality, so we hope everyone has tons of fun!

HOW:
Standard PSI rules apply. All poems must be authored by the performer. Each performer needs at least 3 pieces of work. Each piece will be judged by randomly selected audience members on a scale of 0 to 10. Highest score wins slam poetry. All poems will be timed and should be under 5 minutes long.

The slam will either be 2 or 3 rounds, depending on the number of performers. Walk-ins are welcome to recite their poetry before and/or after the slam poetry contest if time permits.

Almost too good to be true, Four Moons is hosting a wine tasting with Paul Hobbs, one of the world’s most renowned winemakers. Paul Hobbs is truly in a class by himself with rave reviews and ratings from prominent wine publications and connoisseurs across the globe!  Hobbs’ life-long passion and distinct ability to craft amazing wines rooted in old world techniques has made him a recognized pioneer in winemaking.
 
The event features three special tasting opportunities.  Guests will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to be personally escorted by Hobbs through his journey along the adventure of winemaking, as well as introduced to some of his most celebrated releases.
